White Ink over Embossed Image

Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s card was inspired by a card I taught at CREATE (back in April) in one of the make it and take it booths. If you are not familiar with CREATE, it’s an event hosted by Simon Says Stamp every year in Columbus, Ohio. It’s two days filled with creative fun. The card we taught had an embossed image that had some ink blending on top and finished off with a light application of white ink on top. Here’s my take on that…
To create this card, I started by embossing an A2 sized piece of Sea Glass Cardstock with THIS embossing folder. I blended THIS ink on top of the raised portions of the embossing. I swiped white pigment ink on top of that to create highlights. I cut a piece of teal cardstock with one of THESE dies to create a frame around the embossing.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set and used THESE coordinating dies to cut it out. I cut a few more out to adhere behind for dimension and then adhered it on top of the embossed background. I finished off the design with a few of THESE embellishments.
Here’s a closer look…

I also embossed the flap of THIS envelope with the same embossing folder to tie everything together…

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
